Woo hoo! Book three of the '50 Stories in 50 States' series is out, The South. Y'all. Included is wrecking yards with violence, a haunted house with intrigue, and a cat that outlives many owners. You'll probably recognize Brent in the Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico. Everyone's experienced a Brent.
