As I fell from the tire of the loader, not only did my body crash to the ground, but my confidence and poise hit the dirt too. What was going on? It seemed surreal, crazy, or just plain evil. Perhaps I was losing my mind? So many questions, no answers.
It's pretty hard to fire your father, and thank God that didn't happen. However, I spent the following week watching every step, driving like an old man, and waiting for the other shoe to drop. Or I suppose, the other other other other shoe. Thank God the week passed, the scar began healing (the outside one, anyway) and I felt maybe, maybe just a bit more normal. But jeez, what a mess.
Some months just suck.

WOW! Glad to hear you survived... Well, physically, anyway!
You may have heard this saying before, but it seems to apply in this situation: "Some days you're the bird and some days you're the statue." Unfortunately, at this moment, you're looking rather statuesque..."
Feeling like the statue too!

Still happy to have you on board dad. I know you will add value to the business by being here. Thanks for not giving up.
