Day 5 Salt Lake City

Day 5  0 Miles!
"Live your life so that even when you lose, you are ahead."
~Will Rogers

Did you know that 35% of Salt Lake Citieans (well, what else can you call them?) are Mormon? I'd have guessed much higher. 70% of Utahans (Utahites?) are LDS. They put their best foot forward in SLC, for sure. Well groomed gardens complement well groomed people.  I noticed almost no man sports facial hair, thier hair is short, and women wear their hair long and down.
A happy couple, dressed in wedding attire, greet their family and a few friends as they prepare for a Temple wedding- a very big deal. The wedding dresses are pretty and modest. Not like the 'slut bride' look in Vegas!
Interesting how the founding fathers decided to stop state run churches, yet Brigham Young acted as governor and leader of his church. A fellow in a suit approached us and struck up a conversation. No, he proselityzed us. No wonder the LDS church grows so fast. I've half a mind to join. OOKay, maybe not.
One matra we rectie during this trip is; "We have all year." We say this to encourage one another to slow down. However, we blew it today. With 30 minutes to the shuttle bus, we wandered over to the art and history museum. Wow. Marilyn greeted us, and she was passionate. We told her our time dilemma, and she ran us through that place.Silly us! Catch the next shuttle in an hour! Take our time and enjoy the gorgeous art work. We have a year. Brother.
And what's with all the bison statues? This must be the fourth. And every one is goofy.

Cliff's sister says it's worth $800 and my quilter friend was so impressed, she said she's never made anything so big or so lovely! Honestly it is so specisl to me! I knit for everyone but there aren't any other crafters that have made something for me. you blessed me out of my socks! May God bless you abundantly!!!! Lotsa Love, Terrilee
